TV reality star Duane "Dog" Chapman and two co-stars on his show were arrested Thursday in Hawaii on charges of illegal detention and conspiracy in the bounty hunters' capture three years ago of a cosmetics company heir.
Chapman, son Leland Chapman and associate Timothy Chapman were taken into custody and did not resist arrest, said Mark Hanohano, U.S. Marshal for the district of Hawaii. "It went down without incident," Hanohano said.
Mona K. Wood, a publicist for the star of the popular cable series "Dog The Bounty Hunter," said Chapman would be vindicated. "He arrests the bad guys — and he is definitely not one of them," she said.

Sorry JD but this character always reminds me of something out of a James Byron Huggins novel. The fangs and the raspy voice and the armloads of tattoos is something you find in central casting. He resembles a bit player searching for a role other than short-order cook. The title ‘Fang’ would better describe the comings and goings of this self-proclaimed semi-mythic character. When you factor in the Sturmführer black outfits and the chains and glittering chrome, this guy resembles a walking and talking Rorshach; a virtual Ubermensch of human stalkers. But lets face the fact of the matter… how close to any sort of quarry can a guy done up like a Christmas tree and with a piñata full of cuffs and spray cans and spingles and spangles actually get?
I swear… those capped canines of his had to be fashioned by Bella of Transyvania. And the six inch high dyed-doo job is straight of that silly Johnny Depp movie of a dozen years ago; and as for the son and the brother-in-law… well on that count, you’ve got to be kidding me.
This guy is Hollywood from the word go. From his z-bra (The largest they make) sized mate with matching bizarre doo to his following cast of teenybopper minions, this chain-smoking steroidal mass of hypertropism is not to be taken seriously at all. I think they tried getting it right years earlier with Steve McQueen in one of his final roles… the portrayal of Papa Thorson ( a real and dangerously sincere ‘actual’ contemporary semi-mythic character).
But with this guy… pass the popcorn and spin the reel.
