And, amazingly, it will get ignored.<br /><br />Why does it get ignored? <br /><br />Any mature adult knows why you don't say anything that could be construed as "I hope you get hurt" (other than jokingly) - because it could happen. <br /><br />Not because saying it might cause it to happen. But because it's one of the most asshole-ish things a person can say to another. What if it happens? Not only did it happen, but now, those ugly words get to live on in memory. <br /><br />There was a time when anyone who'd even *defend* such puerile nastiness would be considered un-electable. Now, defending it (and possibly even engaging in it) is the only way to win a Republican primary. <br /><br />(No, I won't give in to "both sides do it!" Lefties who pull this kind of crap are marginalized, even if they have a point!
