Free Movies Fallen Into The Public Domain
Selections include early silent classics like Luis Bunuel and Salvador Dali's surreal Un Chien Andalou, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari and D.W. Griffith's Birth of a Nation. But they also include Plan 9 From Outer Space (a movie so hilariously bad it must be seen to be believed), Reefer Madness, and The Day the Earth Stood Still. Oh, and cartoons.
It's like free film night at the Student Union right there on your desktop.
I own two copies of Plan 9 in case one ever breaks. I simply cannot live without it. And you say it's now free to the public? What a time to be alive!!!!
ReplyDeleteI dig most of the other movies you listed as well (not a huge Birth Of A Nation fan, but it is aesthetically beautiful).
Check out the rest of the list as well. Wild Women of Wongo! DOA! Todd Browning's Freaks! I could spend a week on this site.
ReplyDeleteOh no.
ReplyDeleteOh God no.
Thank you so much, Dusty. If there's ever anything I can do for you to ruin your writing life, please let me know.
