Great Moments In Badassery, II
From one of the greatest Westerns ever made: The Outlaw Josey Wales.
Now, the "Dyin' ain't much of a livin', boy" line gets all the respect, but I love:
My favorite part is when Lone Watie (Chief Dan George), recounts a humiliating trip to Washington D.C. by recently defeated tribal chiefs to meet the President, who gave them a few encouraging words:
We thought about it for a long time, "Endeavor to persevere… endeavor to persevere." And when we had thought about it long enough, we declared war on the Union.
