Another Loyal American

TPMDC:

Tennessee Congressman and gubenatorial candidate Zack Wamp talks secession if the next two votes don't go the Republicans' way:

"I hope that the American people will go to the ballot box in 2010 and 2012 so that states are not forced to consider separation from this government," said Wamp, who has also promised to refuse to implement the
[health care reform] law at the state level if he is elected, in an interview with the Hotline.

Wamp also praised Gov. Rick Perry (R-TX) -- who has also floated the idea of secession -- for leading the fight against the health care bill. "Patriots like Rick Perry have talked about these issues because the federal government is putting us in an untenable position at the state level," said Wamp.

Jesus Christ, all I did was question the wisdom of the Iraq War and people like Wamp called me a traitor. They're talking about starting another Civil War, and no one on the right bats an eyelash.

This is probably what bothers me more than anything else going in this country. For eight years I couldn't even question any of the Republican decisions--not even criticize, just wonder if it was the best idea--without being called un-American, a terrorist sympathizer, or a traitor. So now when my conservative friends send some of their bilious tripe to me, I fre back with both barrels, hoping for them to comment on my lack of a sense of humor, so I can remind of this. Without fail (so far), that shuts them up.

Or at least they know enough to keep from sending that crap to me.

There's a lot of opportunism on the right these days, but claiming this adminisration is a socialist one is scary. This administration couldn't be a bigger friend to big business.

But remember, many of those republican decisions under Bush were supported by Dems (both when they were a minority & a majority), including both wars (and haven't they disappeared from media view of late?).
