Toy Pony Sparks Bomb Scare In Orlando
The short version: The cops found a kid's toy pony left behind in a park. They didn't want to take any chances, so they blew it up.
That's how paranoid we have to be these days.
Jesus. I'm not at all sure I want to live in a world like this.

This isn't a recent development. Ten years ago (? -- maybe longer, pre 9/11, anyway), the cops blew up a box left out front of Stephen King's house. It was a manuscript.
But it was a pretty lousy manuscript.
I would like to buy my own small island (5-10 acres) in the Caribbean and move slowly away from the crazy people. Uh, I guess that would be everybody now.
