I'm Not Sure I Trust This "New Blogger" Thing

Blogger keeps trying to get me to "upgrade" to the "new and improved" version. But years of dealing with "upgrades" that occasionally end up rendering programs temporarily and sometimes permanently non-functional have left me deeply suspicious. Plus, the Blogger site tells me I'll have to "sign in with my Google Account" and I'm not sure I have one, and less sure I want to.

How about it, blogosphere? Anyone tried this "new and improved" Blogger (formerly Blogger Beta)? Your experiences?

Trust it. It's great.
I'm even using it at work:

There's not much difference, really. The screens look almost identical.

Two things I'm liking about it is that it's faster. Publishing takes less time and changes to the templates are pretty much instantaneous.

Also there are labels. I've been wanting to keep track of all my posts on things like stabbings, shootings, bank robberies and the like. But then I'm anal that way.

Which reminds me, I need to add a sodomy category.

Billmon switched and his blog disappeared for two days! I'm not switching. Gonna wait until they have as many bugs out as possible.

They've been insistent, but they haven't been pulling the stunts that Yahoo! has, like randomly subjecting their users to the "old version", actually a stripped-down, clunky and ugly version that harkens back to, say, 1995. It stays that way for 24 hours. Grrrr...
