The Biggest "Fuck You" Of All

Well, the Decider has announced his plan to throw over 20,000 more troops into the Iraq debacle, cross his fingers, and pray for something good to happen.
This is the biggest "fuck you" from an Administration that had made "fuck you" pretty much a byword of their style of "governance."
So fuck you, Congress, where Republicans and Democrats alike oppose escalation. Fuck you, Iraq Study Group. Fuck you, Generals who Dubbya used to claim he took all his cues from vis a vis troop levels. Fuck you, American people, who elected a Democratic Congress largely out of dissatisfaction with this disaster and a desire to see it ended. Fuck all of you. The Decider has spoken.

God help us all.

I'm already hearing it on right wing radio:

"This war, like Vietnam, was lost by liberals and their leftist friends in the liberal media."

and

"the American people don't have the will to win because of all the negative reporting."

So, it's not the fault of the people who actually made the plans and those who executed the plans, it was people like you and me, back here saying something doesn't smell right. We lost this war.

Damn, that makes two wars I've lost now. Someone should fire me.

Remember. The grownups are in charge and this is the era of personal responsibility.

That's what I've heard, anyway.

Did you hear Condi Rice's assertion that this is not an 'escalation', but an 'augmentation'? Feh.

Who's taking bets on when the, "secret" bombing campaign in Iran or Syria starts?

But...shouldn't we give him the benefit of the doubt? Let him experiment a little with a few more troops? It's not that many, and their parents can always have more. If you love America and hate the terrorists, you have to be willing to sacrifice.

Let's cut him some slack. He needs help, not to be criticized. He's our president. If we just hold our breath and wish real hard, he'll come around. After a couple more surges, he might relent a little.

Maybe we should call ourselves The Enabler Society.

In hindsight, you got this one horribly wrong. This was unquestionably Bush's best decision in the past three years

O RLY, Jake? SO why can't we come home?

If we have to keep "surging' in perpetuity, it didn't work.
