(It's long, but hilarious)
You think people like this exist only in sitcoms?
Hat Tip to commenter Scott at Sadly, No! where they discuss a similar mindset among the wingnuts.
Another classic quote from commenter Robert M.:
I think that most Americans have a deep-seated need to believe that if they really, really had to–if a hellish post-civilized world came to pass, and they were forced to pick up a knife/gun/katana/etc.–that they would become total badasses.
If you look at glibertaranism through that lens, it makes a lot more sense.

I really like S.R. Stirling's take on this, in his Dies the Fire series. Yeah, he's writing about the people who managed to make it -- but (1) he illustrates multiple strategies for making it, none of which include becoming Rambo, and (2) he also shows, in detail, what happens to people who weren't fortunate enough to have a good strong community group to join up with when things went spla. The lucky ones ended up being the cannibals, until they got hunted out by the civilized communities. The unlucky ones...
Were the food?
Dear God, the mall ninja stuff is fucking hilarious.
Favorite lines from the mall SWAT honcho:
"I have to face unruly shoppers every day"
"...our team saved the life and possibly the virginity of the Mayor’s nephew..."
I haven't finished, but I will. This is priceless.
The nephew's virginity? WTF?
This guy lends new meaning to the term, "'special' forces".
Funniest thing I've read in a while. Thanks, Dusty.
