John McCain (Who Was a POW) Takes His Revenge On Your Humble Blogger

Looks like Honorable John is announcing his VP pick at noon, thus bumping me off the radio...but I've been rescheduled for Thursday the Fourth.

Bastard.

Spoiler Alert: It's not Tim Pawlenty.

(Yes, CNN thought this would be a compelling Breaking News item.)

Huh. Alaska. Ummm, okay. On the one hand, I think they just really screwed up, and the other hand, I DO think there are IDIOTS who will cross over just because of the whole vagina thing.

This is going to be interesting.

What was he thinking?

Seriously?

Kos is referring to Palin as Quayle (with a strikeout), and noting that her pick should take the "Obama is inexperienced" line off the table.

david: you underestimate the Republicans' powers of hypocrisy.

Interesting to note that McCain used the same criteria to pick his VP running mate as his heiress wife.

Point taken, especially since Honorable John has the AP and the Pravda Channel on his side.

Shit. Alaska practically touches Russia, whereas from Illinois, you have to swim for miles to even get the chance to drown in Canadian waters. McBatshit/Vogue beats Obama/Biden in foreign policy cred.

Sarah Palin is so inexperienced she makes Obama look like Machiavelli. She's an anti-choice, pro-drilling in ANWAR, who-gives-a-rat's-ass-about-climate-change, let's-bomb-the-fuck-out-of-the-mideast right winger. Plus she's the focus of an ongoing ethics investigation.

And Crazy Eyes picked her for his running mate?

Somebody pinch me.

On top of all those things, she's a creationist, and supported Pat Buchanan's run in 2000.

The choice begins to make a little more sense now. She's a fundamentalist loon who's picked to bring her fellow loons back into the fold.

Oh boy! Is this going to be a fun next few months. I can't wait to hear what McCain (and the far right) says about Obama now.

I think it's really strange that, not only did he pick someone inexperienced in politics altogether, but his VP selection is also under investigation for allegedly abusing her power when she fired Alaska's Public Safety Commissioner. The reason for his firing? His refusal to fire a state trooper who was also getting divorced from Palin's sister.
