Heath Care Bill Passes House

Bill Owens (NY-23) cast the 218th vote that put the bill over the top.

The Governors of Virginia and New Jersey did not vote.

Yeah, the 2009 election was a huge defeat for Obama, all right.

However, it barely passed in a chamber where the Blue Team has a substantial majority - after a large bone was thrown to the anti-choice crowd. So while we can thank the 'baggers for that extra vote, I don't think it's time to cheer, especially since the Blue Team's leader in the Senate is Harry "The Spelunker" Reid.

On another note, I'd hate to be one of the people screening Rep. Cao's email.

That anonymous comment was from me. I thought I'd selected the Name/URL button. Baa!

Keep cheering ... that might be it for the "Change we could believe in" ... this thing will be so watered down by the time the Senate is done with it, the Insurance companies will be backing it.
