Happy New Year!

Yes, the blog has a new color scheme. I figured, since this is a new year and a new decade, and since I'm going to be trying, at least, to make some major changes in my life and in my way of dealing with it (e-mail if you want to be bored with them), a fresh look would be symbolic. Let me know if it causes any readability problems. I've tried for a more tranquil, easier-to-read effect. Let me know if it works.

Much easier to read, thank you! Best wishes for the new year.

Hi Dusty,

Have to say, the new colour scheme is a lot easier on the eye. :) Happy New Year!

I love it! I'm one of those who have trouble reading text on black background -- gives me a headache after more than a couple paragraphs.

So you're going for "a more tranquil, easier-to-read effect" are you? I always find your posts easy to read, even when the wtfery you point out makes my blood boil.

But tranquil? You?

HAHAHAHA! Thanks. A hearty laugh is a great way to start the new year of blog lurking. ;)

Seriously, good luck with whatever changes you deem necessary. Wishing you a very happy and successful 2010.

Grazie for losing the black background. Old eyes are, well . . . old.

Have a fabulous 2010, JD.

I find the new layout more readable. Granted, I usually read the LiveJournal syndication first, and only come to the original for snark . . .

I agree. Much easier on the old eyes. As for changes in your life, I hope they're all voluntary and good for you.

Go to sites like http://tubeleecher.com . Copy url of the youtube video you want to download and paste it on http://tubeleecher.com . Download file as .flv file. Get a video player offered on their web. Good luck.

Agreed on the "easier on aging eyes" thing, although you at least had the sense to use WHITE text on a black background.

Tip for those who have trouble reading text-on-black: try highlighting it. This usually changes the colors to something significantly easier to deal with.

And I see you're already getting spam from malware sites. I wonder if that's your previous troll coming around for another shot?

Definitely easier on the eyes.

Yes! Yes! Yes!

I was going blind trying to read that san serif white text on a black background, but I'm just too Southern to complain about someone's taste…

Ah, Dusty, I see your sunny yellow optimism shining through with the new site design.

Here's to a fine 2010.

It looks good to me . . . and I'd be glad to read the "boring" details . . .

I prefer the new colours too, easier for aging eyes, as others have said. Happy New Year from NZ, Dusty.
