HURRICANE APPROACHES NEW ORLEANS, REPUBLICANS TO SUFFER MOST

Gustav Threatens GOP Convention Plans

And Karl Rove is there to put it all in perspective:

“The Republicans can’t seem to get a break when it comes to August and when it comes to the weather
,” said Rove, a FOX News analyst. “I know this is being thought a lot about in Washington and at the White House and discussed and I suspect they will monitor it carefully and figure out what to do.”

Yeah, why does this stuff always seem to happen to the poor Republicans?

'm sure that the folks of the New Orleans area aren't overly concerned about the"poor" Republicans.
More importantly, I;m sure the Republicans aren't overly concerned about the effects a hurricane will have on the area. Unless, of course, they have property in said area.

Assuming they know that they have property in said area.

So, JD, what do you think about Palin?

Interesting choice, no?

I'm actually pleased at how clearly the lines have now been exposed.

As for the hurricane . . . I pray with all my heart that it weakens to less than a tropical storm. Too many people have suffered already.

I'm with you there on wishes about the hurricane, Pari. See my posts below for how I feel about Palin. I think it's a totally boneheaded choice, and I think McCain realizes he's going to lose.
