I Say, Is This the Train for Twatt?

Rude Britain is a book which lists 100 of the U.K.'s most vaguely obscene sounding place names, and quite a few where there's no vagueness about it. From Brown Willy in Cornwall to Cockermouth Green in Newcastle, from East Breast in Inverclyde to Shitterton in Dorset, Rude Britain is just one more reason why I hope that there'll always be an England.

Actually I'm kind of jealous. All we have in North Carolina are towns like Climax and Bun Level.

(Oh, in case you were wondering, Twatt is in Orkney).

Hello - glad you liked the Rude Britain names enough to put them up on the site. I thought you might like to know that we’ve now launched our own website www.rudebritain.co.uk - so any doubters can see pictures and map references for the names.
