The Wheelman by Duane Swierczynski (2005)

Just finished The Wheelman, by my friend Duane Swierczynski, and was moved to write this review at Mystery Ink Online.

Buy this book now. It's the coolest thing I've read in ages. And I'm not just saying that because Duane is a friend of mine. This is one of those books that make me want to grab people on the street and demand that they read it. I've mostly stopped doing that, though, on advice of my therapist and probation officer.

I'm with you, it was a terrific read though at one point, after I had to put it down for a week, I wanted a score card like you'd get in those old Russian novels.

I agree totally - it's a fantastic book. I bought it for myself, and then ran out and bought a few copies that I gave to friends and family as Christmas gifts.

His previous fiction book (Secret Dead Men) is different but also really good.

Aw, guys! I'm blushing now! Tough guys aren't supposed to blush.

But seriously, thanks.

I totally agree, Dusty. I couldn't put the book down.
