Finally, I May Be Doing Something Right

Coffee May Protect Liver From Alcohol, Study Says

In a study of more than 125,000 people, one cup of coffee per day cut the risk of alcoholic cirrhosis by 20 percent. Four cups per day reduced the risk by 80 percent. The coffee effect held true for women and men of various ethnic backgrounds.

Now that's the kind of study that brightens my day. Right up there with the one that said salt doesn't cause high blood pressure. Well done, sir.

Goddamn, some really good news. I'm speaking for all those people who drink to excess, of course. Not me. I wouldn't do that.

Tell 'em, Dusty.

Personally I'm of the opinion that my buying sixteen cans of coffee grounds from WalMart every week and running my percolator into the ground has a good reason for being. And now comes this news bit to back me up.

Now to find a study somewhere that says self-abuse doesn't cause blindness...I'll be able to stop wearing glasses.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
